अलीगढ़ मुस्लिम विश्वविद्यालय (एएमयू) ने अपने महत्वाकांक्षी अंतरिक्ष कार्यक्रम पर काम शुरू कर दिया है. इसे अंतरिक्ष विभाग के तहत काम करने वाले भारतीय राष्ट्रीय अंतरिक्ष संवर्धन और प्राधिकरण केंद्र (आईएन-एसपीएसीई/स्पेस) द्वारा मंजूरी दे दी गई है. इस परियोजना में एएमयू के संस्थापक सर सैयद अहमद खान के नाम पर पहला उपग्रह (सैटेलाइट) कार्यक्रम ‘एसएस एएमयू एसएटी’ का डेवलपमेंट शामिल है. एसएस एएमयू सैट एक नैनोसैटेलाइट प्रोजेक्ट है जो नवंबर 2021 में एएमयू रोबो क्लब के तहत शुरू हुआ था.

AMU VC Panel
The Executive Council of the Aligarh Muslim University has prepared the VC panel which has five professors in it.
AMU is an emotionally and politically charged system and no professor can run it properly. Last six years plus have been a disaster for us with abject surrender to Saffron powers and regionalism run amok.
Executive Council should have taken it into account and should have shown guts to prepare a list having competence to govern a volatile system like AMU.
Personally I shiver at the prospect of five more years like last six years plus and cursing the administration day in and day out. I do not want to do that.
The AMU Court should not select three out of these five professors. The Court should return the panel back and ask for a panel of competent people sans professors.
Of course there will be this problem of explaining to the government as to why there are no professors in the panel. It will be a shame if the intellectual community of 250 million Muslims of India can not make their case before the Saffronite government. After all we are not acting against their interests. We are only trying to administer an institution.
