Condolence Meeting
Aligarh, December 31: The Department of Mass Communication, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) today deeply mourned the sad demise of veteran professor of Mass Communication Professor Sunil Kant Behra who died following a massive cardiac arrest.
The condolence meeting of the Department was attended by the faculty members, research scholars and students who described his sudden death as a blow to the academic fraternity of communication studies in the country.
Professor Pitabas Pardhan, Chairman of the Department said that professor Behra was his teacher and his scholarship left an indelible mark on his students. He always exhorted teachers to prepare for the class vigorously.
Senior faculty member Professor Shafey Kidwai said that professor Behra was very articulate and his interventions always enlivened the deliberations of the conference.
Dr. GK Sahu paid glowing tributes to him and said Professor Behra was one of the teachers of communication theories and he always kept himself abreast of new advancements.
Prof Behra taught at Berhampur University, Assam University Silchar, Tezpur University and Odisha Central University.

अलीगढ़, 31 दिसंबर: जन संचार विभाग, अलीगढ़ मुस्लिम विश्वविद्यालय (एएमयू) ने आज जन संचार के अनुभवी प्रोफेसर प्रोफेसर सुनील कांत बेहरा के दुखद निधन पर गहरा शोक व्यक्त किया, जिनका एक बड़े हृदय की गिरफ्तारी के बाद निधन हो गया।
विभाग की शोक सभा में संकाय सदस्यों, अनुसंधान विद्वानों और छात्रों ने भाग लिया जिन्होंने उनकी अचानक मौत को देश में संचार अध्ययन की शैक्षणिक बिरादरी के लिए एक झटका बताया।
विभाग के अध्यक्ष प्रोफेसर पीताबास प्रधान ने कहा कि प्रोफेसर बेहरा उनके शिक्षक थे और उनकी छात्रवृत्ति ने उनके विद्यार्थियों पर अमिट छाप छोड़ी। उन्होंने हमेशा शिक्षकों को कक्षा की तैयारी दृढ़ता से करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया।
वरिष्ठ संकाय सदस्य प्रोफेसर शफी किदवई ने कहा कि प्रोफेसर बेहरा बहुत स्पष्ट थे और उनके हस्तक्षेप हमेशा सम्मेलन के विचार-विमर्श को प्रेरित करते थे।
डॉ. जीके साहू ने उन्हें भावभीनी श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की और कहा कि प्रोफेसर बेहरा संचार सिद्धांतों के शिक्षकों में से एक थे और उन्होंने हमेशा खुद को नई प्रगति के प्रति समर्पित किया।
प्रोफेसर बेहरा को बरहमपुर विश्वविद्यालय, असम विश्वविद्यालय सिलचर, तेजपुर विश्वविद्यालय और ओडिशा केंद्रीय विश्वविद्यालय में पढ़ाया गया।
