असम के पश्चिम कार्बी आंगलोंग ज़िले में गुस्साए गांव के लोगों ने फॉरेस्ट ऑफिस में तोड़फोड़ की और उसमें आग लगा दी.
असम-मेघालय की एक विवादित सीमा पर मंगलवार को सुबह हुई हिंसा के विरोध में आज तोड़फोड़ की गई है.
मंगलवार को पश्चिम जयंतिया हिल्स में मुकरोह जगह पर गोलीबारी हुई थी, जिसमें असम के एक वन अधिकारी समेत छह लोगों की मौत हो गई थी.
फ़िलहाल दोनों राज्यों के सीमावर्ती इलाकों में तनाव है और सुरक्षा के पर्याप्त इंतजाम किए गए है.
तनाव को देखते हुए मंगलवार को मेघालय के सात जिलों में 48 घंटों के लिए इंटरनेट सेवाएं बंद कर दी गई थीं.
वहीं असम पुलिस ने अन्य राज्यों के वाहनों को मेघालय से यात्रा नहीं करने को कहा है.
