पिछले एक सदी में ये शायद पहला मौका होगा जब पूरा अरब एक साथ होगा और वहां कोई जंग नहीं हो रही होगी, इमरान खान ने पाकिस्तान का प्रधानमंत्री रहते हुए ईरान और सऊदी अरब के रिश्तों को बेहतर बनाने के लिए काम शुरू किया था, आगे चल कर इस मुहीम की कमान चीन ने संभाल ली, इमरान खान ने सऊदी अरब और चीन को करीब लाने में अहम् किरदार अदा किया था, सऊदी अरब और ईरान को लेकर चीन और रूस लम्बे वक़्त से फिक्रमंद थे और काम कर रहे थे, ईरान के साथ रूस और चीन के बहुत गहरे रिश्ते हैं, चीन ईरान में 400 अरब डॉलर का इन्वेस्टमेंट करने जा रहा है, चीन को इतना बड़ा इन्वेस्टमेंट करने के लिए इलाके में अमन क़ायम करना था इसी वजह से चीन ने सऊदी अरब और ईरान को आपस में एक साथ लाने के लिए वार्ता जारी रखी, जिनके नतीजे अब सामने आ रहे हैं, ईरान और सऊदी अरब के बीच समझौता हो चुका है, दोनों देश अब दोस्त बन गए हैं, इस डेवलप्मेंट की कानों कान ख़बर समझौता होने तक चीन ने बाहर नहीं आने दी थी, अमेरिकी पेंटागन ने अपने बयान में कहा है कि ”ईरान और सऊदी के समझौते से हम हैरान हैं”
सऊदी-ईरान के अच्छे रिश्तों के अच्छे नतीजे सामने आने लगे हैं, यमन में 8 साल से जारी जंग को ख़त्म करने पर अब सहमति बन गयी है और ईद के दिन 20 मई को यमन युद्ध को ख़तम करने का एलान हो जायेगा, UAE ने यमन से अपनी सेना वापस बुलाना शुरू कर दिया है, ओमान और सऊदी अरब के अधिकारी इस वक़्त यमन की राजधानी सना में पहुंचे हुए हैं जहाँ पर यमन समझौते को फाइनल करने का काम चल रहा है
इन सबके बीच मीडिया रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक सऊदी अरब किंग सलमान ने ईरान के राष्ट्रपति रईसी को सऊदी की यात्रा का न्यौता भेजा है, बता दें कि सीरिया के राष्ट्रपति असद बाशर भी ईद के बाद सऊदी की यात्रा कर सकते हैं
ईरान-सऊदी के रिश्तों को बेहतर बनाने में तुर्की और क़तर ने भी बड़ी भूमिका निभाई है
