नई दिल्ली: जर्मन चांसलर एंजेला मेर्कल ने कहा कि जर्मनी में रहने वाले मुसलमान और उनका धर्म, इस्लाम दोनों ही जर्मनी का हिस्सा हैं। यह बयान जर्मनी के गृहमंत्री की और से आए हालिया मुस्लिम विरोधी बयान के बाद दिया गया है।

गौरतलब है कि जर्मनी में बनने वाली नई सरकार में गृहमंत्री के पद का शपथ लेने के बाद कद्दावर नेता होर्स्ट ज़ेहोफर ने पिछले दिनों अपने एक बयान में कहा था कि इस्लाम जर्मन संस्कृति का हिस्सा नहीं है।

राजनीतिक पर्यवेक्षकों ने इस बयान पर अपनी चिंताओं को व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि जर्मनी की नई सरकार दायें बाजू की राजनीति की ओर मायल हो सकती है। पिछले साल नवंबर में संसदीय चुनाव के बाद जर्मन चांसलर एंजेला मेर्केल की अगुवाई में एक व्यापक मिश्रित गठबंधन सरकार ने बुधवार को ही शपथ लिया था।

उल्लेखनीय है कि इस चुनाव में कट्टर विचारधारा वाले इस्लाम और शरणार्थी विरोधी राजनीतिक पार्टी एएफडी ने दायें बाजू की राजनीति का नारा लगाते ही कामयाबी हासिल की थी। इस पार्टी ने खुलेआम मेर्केल की इमिग्रेशन नीति की आलोचना करके लोकप्रियता हासिल की थी।
