U.S. National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan made it very clear that there will be no U.S.-Saudi defense pact without Israel-Saudi normalization.

“The integrated vision is a bilateral understanding between the US and Saudi Arabia combined with normalization between Israel and Saudi Arabia, combined with meaningful steps on behalf of the Palestinian people.

All of that has to come together . . . you can’t disentangle one piece from the others.”

U.S.-Saudi defense deal:

Security Guarantees: Enhanced U.S. defense commitments to Saudi Arabia.

Civilian Nuclear Support: Assistance in developing Saudi civilian nuclear capabilities.

Israel’s Concessions to Palestinians: As part of the deal’s conditions, Israel must make substantive concessions towards establishing a Palestinian state.
