Israel’s national security minister, Itamar Ben Gvir, said he believes that the death penalty is the right solution to the prison overcrowding problem that Israel is having.

“I’m glad that the govt approved my proposal that will allow the IDF to build 936 (in total 1,600) additional detention sites for security prisoners. The additional construction will allow the prison service to take in more terrorists, and will bring a partial solution to the prison overcrowding crisis”, he added.
